Name:Lark-kit,Larkpaw, Larkfeather
Age: twenty-three moons
Gender: she-cat
Clan: ThunderClan
Rank: medicine cat
Appearance: Larkfeather has the body of a warrior. She's muscled quite well and not afraid to tussle a bit. However, this girl is slightly shorter than she should be. Not a fair amount, but enough to notice. She hates when others comment on it, and she will get in your face about it. What she lacks in height, she gains in grace. She prides herself in getting around almost silently. It's how she earned her delicate prefix, -feather.
Personality: This she-cat is has a very motherly soul. She is fiercely loyal and will protect another, whether they want it or not. Larkfeather enjoys spending time with the ones she cares about, and loves teasing her friends to no end. She never really snaps at anyone unless they mention her height. The creamy cat loves what she does and would not trade it for anything.
She secretly panics about everything. Larkfeather always tries to look as though she can keep her cool all she wants, but she's a worry-wart on the inside. She's good at sensing when something is off; when something is wrong. She lives by her gut, which has guided her through some tough times in her life.
Larkfeather is very resourceful and creative. If she doesn't have the right herb then and there, she will find another to do the right trick. She's even been known to make up concoctions on her own that no one's ever heard of, but in the end, they work. She's a very bright cat and catches on to things quickly, as well as her having a great memory.
However, she has problems with holding grudges. She doesn't let go of problems very easily and will make it clear to you that things need sorted out, now. Fortunately, she knows how to avoid trouble so she usually doesn't have many grudges at a time. She needs her alone time as well, so you may find her sitting somewhere random in the forest on a patrol. She likes to collect her thoughts in silence.
History: She was born to a wonderful pair of cats one new-leaf afternoon. Lark-kit was born with a brother, however, he was a stillborn kit. (Today she often wonders how life would be different if the little kit hadn't died.) Her mother took it hard, but got over herself a few days later. She needed to be there for Lark-kit, she reasoned.
Lark-kit was never really much interested in the medicine cat's den at the start of it all. Besides, Snowberry already had an apprentice. Littlepaw was his name. He was very happy as the medicine cat apprentice, so Lark-kit never stopped believing that the warrior path was hers. However, just as her sixth moon was around the corner, she noticed Littlepaw was no longer striding in and out of his den. Her mother told her he had swallowed some berries he shouldn't have. Her expression was pained and it dawned on the little kit that Littlepaw was never coming back. Turning her gaze to the gaping cave that was the medicine cat's den, she decided that she was going to do Littlepaw some justice.
And justice, she did. She talked to Littlepaw every night before sleep, gazing at Silverpelt, wondering which twinkling light was his. She'd tell him what she learned that day with Snowberry, tell him her struggles and frustrations. One night Snowberry had caught Larkpaw speaking to him outside the den (though Larkpaw had a thought that the pretty medicine cat already knew that she did this every night). Snowberry quietly trotted out of her den and sat her rump next to Larkpaw. They sat in silence, together, watching the sparkling white lights in the sky.
As the moons went on, she was deemed Larkfeather by her mentor next to the Moonstone. With eyes sparkling with such pride, Snowberry touched noses with her apprentice. Larkfeather's heart swelled with happiness. The bond with Snowberry, she thought, was much stronger than she realized. As it was time for Snowberry to join StarClan's gleaming ranks, Larkfeather took the position of medicine cat in stride. Her conversations with Littlepaw never stopped, but now she talked to both him and her beloved mentor. They will always be a part of her, whether she realizes it or not.
